I think should either deny access to, or limit it to the trikes in santa monica. they are noisy and I think they are invovled with the robberies. St. Helena subdiv does not allow trikes and everyone there is happier without them. We could have pedacabs.

There are more non-residents walking the streets, loitering and showing un-natural interest at houses in the sub-division.
There is no security presence to deter these persons.
Has the "security" only standing at the gate to see that no one defaces the shack?
There have been more robberies since the start of the year also.

I think that all of the strangers we see walking on the streets every day should be stopped by a roving patrol and if they cannot provide residents ID and show where they live they should be arrested for trespassing.

Maybe the homeowners can hire our own roving patrol with an assessment for that purpose only. The guard would work for us, not the developer, and would arrest and detain all trespassers.

It seems that with the new association elections and appointments that this is simply a excercise and nothing changes.
Can the treasurer submit a monthly expenditure report at this site?
Can the "committes" also justify their status, or eliminate their positions as being unecessary?
Too many of these organizations request and sometimes demand monetary "donations" and yet are not held accountable or show a finiancial report as to where the funds, given or totals received are used.

I am in the USA for an unknown period of time. So this and the newsletter are going the wayside. I am working 14 hours a day so don't have time to keep up with it. The last comment on this page is someone complaining that a financial report is not being given. If that person would look at the page, the complete report is shown on this site. Look in the newsletter. The report in the future is always avaiable at the monthly meeting. If you don't get invovled and help the place where you live nothing will change. This group of officers are trying to improve the situation. Your help is needed, but if you just sit there on your ass and bitch about problems like an old lady, nothing will change. So get off your butts and give a hand. See you all later this year I hope. Tom Windsor

Blogs are for complaints, compliments, sugestions, questions etc.
The finiancial report is cryptic at best!
Can there be clarification on the items
1. maintenance 15,921
2. security 21,966.56
3. bills 5,088.79

This report being for 1/1/2007 to 1/31/2007 is the treasurer also on a sabatical, and will there be a report here quarterly, semi-annual, or annual?

Are the meetings held in a consistant manner or at randomly selected times?

This past four nights there seems to be a security patrol walking around between ten and eleven each night. Their area is along Camia Street and also on Jasmin, looking over random fences and waking up the dogs.

They are very visible in their white "t" shirts (the four of them). However there is a drawback; they do not understand English (as noted in the Philippine Constitution the second language).

How can the non-Tagalog residents communicate with these that "serve and protect"?

Are the various improvement projects on hold until your return Tom?

The things I was doing need to be done by someone else now. Those being a newsletter and this blog. The meetings have always been the last Sunday of the month. The treasurer is there to answer any questions. I believe I included that fact in my last rant. Maintenance is mostly cutting the grass on vacant lots. Security is to pay security guards. Bills are the electric, phone and water. He has a breakdown if you ask. The guards speak english if you approach them in a non-intimidating way or have your honeyko talk to them.

As a result of the rain, have the genuises that installed the dam (speed bump) at block 5 lot 55 observed the results of their screw-up?
The water run off was effectively blocked for an additional eight hours as the residents at block fifteen can attest to.
The hazard does not allow run off to the spillway because there is little room at either side of the street for passage and has no opening in the center which also would be beneficial after the trash piles up behind this unecessary obstruction.
Other points that were obviously ignored are that there are two small kids at that location that run into the street without looking and the drivers are concerned with looking for the bump and slowing down. After slowing down vehicles accelerate to pass over and expel more pollutants into the air. Especially trikes that mix oil and gas in their tanks.
There are also older residents with back, neck, and spinal problems that do not care for the jarring while passing over. Have any pregnant women been bounced over this and enjoyed the feeling of elation and pleasure?
Seventy-five feet further along, at the spillway there has been a progressive detiorating of the roadway and the cement used for this hazard could have been more efficiently used to repair this widening and deepening hole in the center of the street!
Still waiting for the drain cleaning to begin or will this be postponed until after the rainy season again.
Once again canvass the block fifteen residents at the back and get their opinion of the promises of the latest administration and the results of all their efforts to improve the area.

So how many meetings have you attended? Do you pay your dues? Obviously you don't know diddly about what this administration promised. There were no promises as you suppose. All I see from my computer perch in San Diego is a bunch of old farts that won't get off their butts to see if they can improve SM. They would rather bitch than do anything. This group has tried without your support since day one, an impossible job. I think the whole subdivision would be better suited under water. At least then there would be fish, and of course they would work together. I am giving up rocking the boat, all I get is wet!
